MergeMe is a Slack app that brings code review closer to where work happens by mirroring GitHub and GitLab pull/merge requests into Slack as single, updating cards. Instead of notification spam or broken @mentions, each PR/MR gets one card that updates in place across its lifecycle—opened, approved, merged.
MergeMe is designed for engineering teams that rely on Slack for daily communication and want to reduce the time it takes for a reviewer to notice and pick up a PR/MR. It's ideal for small to medium-sized teams, but free forever for small teams. It's not for teams that prefer email-based notifications or don't use Slack daily.
Teams use MergeMe to route repo-specific PRs to dedicated channels (e.g., frontend to #eng-frontend), route by labels (bug to #bugs), and ensure @mentions in comments turn into real Slack pings. It also keeps review comments as threaded replies, so the channel stays clean.
